Video
A
multi-room video system allows you to watch your favourite television
programme or video wherever you are in the house. The system receives
signal from a standard aerial and other inputs, e.g. video, dvd player,
cable television, satellite television, and distributes them to each
television. Different televisions can watch different programmes.
You can record one channel in one room while watching something else in
another.
Different systems can be installed to suit the
scale of system you require, for example
2
source to 3 televisions up to 4 source to
8
televisions.
As
digital television begins to replace existing terrestrial television, the
new source will just slot straight in. Similarly with video-on-demand,
downloading movies from the internet as music is now.
Hard disk video players are beginning to appear so that, just as you create
an audio library at home, so too can you create your own video library,
selecting movies to play straight from a hard disk.
